Love and Confidence

Happy Friday everyone and Happy early Valentine's Day! This post is going to be a bit different. I want to talk about 2 things that I think are very fitting for this time of the year: confidence and love.

 

I've been thinking about these two things a lot lately in regards to college, work, decorating, life goals, ect. And I've realized that you can't have one without the other. We've all heard confidence is key, and as I'm getting older, I see that it really is. It takes confidence to do anything, and I think we all go through times where that's a real struggle for us. There are days when I just want to through my hands up in the air and say it's all pointless. There are days where I don't want to get out of bed. But you know what, everybody has those days, and that's OK! 

I'm a perfectionist and I think that everything has to be in order all the time, that I have to makes A's on every assignment, that my planner has to be color coordinated... But it's not always going to be and it doesn't have to be! 

Now, let's look at that from a design/decor stand point. We all want our houses or apartments or rooms or whatever to always be picture perfect and we always want to have everything in perfect order, but if it's not, THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU A FAILURE! You know what it makes you? 

Human.

We all make mistakes, we all have things we have to deal with, but we can't loose our confidence! You know yourself, you know what you can do, so don't be afraid to do it! And don't be afraid to love what you do. More importantly, don't be afraid to love yourself! You're awesome! And when you love yourself, even though it can be difficult sometimes, you'll be able to love more deeply and more fully! (If you're part of the singles club this Valentine's Day, like me, go buy yourself something! Splurge on you because you're worth it! 😄)

Have confidence in yourself and love who you are! You are the best you there is! God made you for a reason, and He doesn't make mistakes!
